For the ceramic paint to cure it must be oven set for about 30mins.

Drying time

Ceramic paints are known for their really impressive drying times when compared to most other types of paints. This is useful as it means you can start on the next coat soon after applying the first. Quick-drying properties are wonderful for ceramics because you will be able to produce a stunning finished article, in just a fraction of the time as when using other paints.

They’re versatile

Not only can they be used on different mediums, but there are also different ways to use the paints themselves that will give different effects and textures - making them a useful and versatile material. They can be used in the following ways:

• Straight from the tube or tub for a look similar to that of oil paintings
• They can be diluted and washed out to produce effects similar to that of watercolours
• They can also be diluted and washed out and then painted over straight from the tub to produce a double, interesting combination of the two styles

Perfect for all levels

Some people have misgivings about using ceramic paints and that’s because they are permanent; beginners worry that they won’t be able to fix mistakes. However, they can actually be washed soon after application - so long as you wash just after a mistake is made, there shouldn’t be any reason to fret. You can also keep them wet if you want them to continue to be workable for a matter of time before deciding on your final design.

Product Notes:

1. Make sure the surface is dry and clean.

2. Create your design with a paintbrush or sponge.

3. Allow to dry completely for 24 hours.

4. Once dry, heat in the oven for approximately 30 minutes at 140° C to 'fix' . (temperature may vary depending on over, testing is recommended).

5. Avoid washing for 24 hours. Gentle hand wash to clean, do not soak or wash in dishwasher. Not microwave safe.
