جَلَسَ الصَّبِيُّ لِساعاتٍ وَهُوَ يَرْسُمُ وَيَمْحو، فَتَظْهَرُ أَشْياءُ وَتَخْتَفي أُخْرى.
ها هُوَ يَعْلو فَوْقَ المَنازِلِ، قَريبًا مِنَ الشَّمْس.
الشَّمْس؟ أَزْعَجَهُ نورُها، فَمَحاها.
وَلَكِنْ... كَيْفَ سَيَطْلَعُ الصَّباحُ غَدًا؟
بَطَلُ هذه القصّة كانَ يرغبُ فقط بقلمٍ وممحاة، لكنّهُ حينَ أدركَ أنّهُ يملكُ قوّةَ رَسْمِ ما يُريد ومَحو ما يُريد، تَحَوَّلَتْ رغبتُه البسيطة إلى قُوّةٍ بين يَدَيه، ذهبَ بِها بعيدًا بعيدًا. صارَت قراراتُه مُتسرّعةً وأخطاؤُه كثيرةً، فكيف يمحوها؟
قصَّةٌ خَياليَّةٌ برسالةٍ مهمّة: للرّغبات حدود، وَللقوّة أخطار إذا لَم تترافق مع المسؤولية والوعي. يسلّط هذا الكتاب الضَّوءَ على أهمِّيَّة تصرُّف الطّفل بِوَعي حينَ يكونُ في موقع سُلطةٍ، كما يُركّز على فكرة تَحمُّل عَواقب الأخطاء والعمل على تصحيحها.
