2014. Two children from Pakistan stood up against the injustice in their world. Their bravery in the face of great risks remains a source of inspiration for all who know their story. Iqbal worked in slavery to pay off his parents' debt. After he became free, he raised his voice against child labor and was declared "the hero of the battle against contemporary forms of slavery," but he was silenced by a bullet when he was only twelve years old. Malala fought against all attempts to prevent Pakistani girls from going to school. She was not deterred from expressing her opinion, even by a bullet that almost took her life. Today, Malala travels the world to raise awareness about the right of girls to education. This brave girl has won several awards, the most notable being the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014.
