Turn a blind eye

Newly promoted to Detective Inspector, William Warwick is tasked with a dangerous new mission: to go undercover and uncover a different kind of crime: corruption at the heart of the Metropolitan Police Service. Alongside Detectives Rebecca Pankhurst and Nicky Bailey, his team focuses on tracking Detective Inspector Gerry Summers, a young officer whose income exceeds the living standards. But the investigation is jeopardized when Nicky falls in love with Summers. Meanwhile, notorious drug dealer Asim Rashidi is on trial, defended by lawyer Booth Watson, while William's father, Sir Julian, and his sister, Grace, lead the prosecution case. William's wife, Beth, now a new mother of twins, forms a surprising new friendship with Christina Faulkner—the ex-wife of William's former rival, criminal financier Miles—who not only turns a new leaf but also has a new source of income when Faulkner suddenly dies of a heart attack, and she becomes the sole heir to his estate. As the undercover officers begin to put the pieces together, William realizes that the corruption may run deeper, and that more of his colleagues than he initially thought may be willing to turn a blind eye.
