Stories of the Prophets

This book presents the stories of the prophets. God, the Creator of all things, created the mountains and the seas. He created all the animals. He created the heavens and the stars. He created the sun and the moon, and created the angels. Then God decided to create a human being. He named this first human being Adam. He taught him many things until Adam became more knowledgeable than the angels. There was a jinn named Iblis, the devil. Iblis tried to compare himself to Adam. He believed he was more noble than Adam. Therefore, he refused to prostrate himself even though God had commanded him to do so. Adam was astonished by this creature, Iblis, who hated him without knowing him and who thought he was better than Adam without proving his worth. God gives His accountable servants absolute freedom even to reject His commands. He gives them the freedom to deny, disobey, and even disagree with Him. His kingdom will not be diminished if the unbelievers do not believe in Him, and it will not expand if many people believe in Him.
