Happiness, tranquility, serenity, and peace of mind are lofty goals that people seek in this life that is filled with noise and turmoil, and in which sadness, fear, and anxiety have become signs of human misery. To the point that scientists, thinkers, and doctors have described depression as the disease of our time, which has ravaged societies, causing them to disintegrate and collapse, and people crowd into sanatoriums and hospitals complaining of psychological fragility! In this book, we shed light on the most prominent psychological pressures that cloud people's lives in this era and disturb their comfort. Together, we embark on an enjoyable journey with the verses of the Holy Quran, discovering divine guidance that can rid us of these pressures, protect us from their destructive effects, guide us on how to deal with them when they occur, and outline for us the path to happiness and peace of mind. The Holy Quran is the source of happiness and reassurance. Whoever lives adhering to its verses, sensing the greatness of their meanings, will not be an easy prey to the so-called psychological diseases of our time. Depression will not find an outlet through which to infiltrate his soul, nor will he be a prisoner of failed experiences that have kept him from working and giving, nor will he be concerned with future fears that will turn his life into hell. I ask God - the Most High and Almighty - to help us contemplate the verses of His Book, to guide us to act upon them, to accept from us righteous deeds and words, to make this Book sincere for His sake, and to benefit His servants through it. Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds.

The stories of the Holy Quran are treasures full of lessons. Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, has guided us to this important truth when He says: “Indeed in their stories is a lesson for those of understanding.” The reader can hardly come across a story in the Holy Quran without finding within it lessons, morals, and exhortations that strengthen his heart, enlighten his insight, increase his faith, sharpen his resolve, and grant him a dose of hope and optimism.
This book takes the reader on a journey of contemplation through a collection of stories from the Holy Quran. We pause at each story of previous nations mentioned in the Book of God Almighty, drawing lessons, emulating morals, and reflecting on their circumstances, so that we may follow the path of the righteous among them and avoid the path of the obstinate sinners.
In each story, we have pauses through which we highlight the lessons, morals, and sermons extracted in the aspects of faith, worship, morals, and dealings, and the best way to benefit from them in our reality and lives.
