The concept of poets' virility

I have known him to be patient and persevere in the face of the difficulties of research, just as I have known him to train the soul to endure hardships and persevere through them until the difficulty becomes easy and the one who strays from it is humbled. His choice of this topic (the concept of virility of poets and its development in critical heritage until the fifth century AH) was consistent with his diligent nature, strong determination, and tendency to tackle topics that represent a challenge to those who are exposed to them and a test of their patience and endurance in exploring areas that are shrouded in mystery and surrounded by difficulties, either due to the length of time or the ruggedness of the path to them, or due to their association or contact with other topics, or for all of these reasons, as is the case in the lesson (the concept of virility) when the term is used to describe the poet in view of a distinguished artistic level achieved in his poetry, or in other words, certain characteristics that characterize this poetry, which are characteristics that are capable of identification and description, and may be capable of being transferred and inherited from poet to poet, and from one generation of readers to another, and for this reason they are subject to being affected by a little or a lot of development with the passage of time and the accumulation of poetic heritage, and the benefit of the later from the earlier with the later trying to imprint his mark with his work, and to add to what he inherited what makes it worthy of attributing his work to him, even if he admits Often he was proud of the poetic power he inherited from his ancestors or teachers from whom he took, as we find in the words of Al-Farazdaq: Abu Yazid, Dhu al-Quroh, and Jazul gave me poems as geniuses when they passed away.

This topic has been beset with difficulties that befall the study of terminology in general, and literary and critical terminology in particular. It has also been beset with difficulties arising from the remoteness of its origins... since the use of the word to describe a poet dates back to the pre-Islamic era, coinciding with one of the oldest phases of Arabic poetry...
