Spoken reception from our sheikhs has its own transmission, and written reception from what our imams have recorded in their tajweed works - including this book - has its own correction, and neither of them can replace the other. In addition to understanding the theoretical rules of Tajweed, the student of the Qur’an must sit with a skilled reciter who will teach him the correct recitation of the sounds of the Great Qur’an.
