AuthorMustafa Lutfi al-Manfaluti
Raising children is one of the most important achievements a person can be proud of, especially mothers who instill values and morals in their children. This is because raising a righteous generation that preserves virtue is a great goal, and this is what Helen and Marguerite sought in raising their children, Virginie and Paul. When the two children grew up, they loved each other, but life does not give everything. Virginie died because she preferred to be swallowed by the sea without compromising her morals. Her beloved Paul followed her out of grief, and they were buried together. A month later, her mother, Helen, died. Three months later, his mother, Marguerite, died. Thus, the two families departed, as did virtue. Al-Manfaluti wanted to remind us of the value of virtue, which has been lost amid the turbulence of time, and which we so desperately need to revive our morals and civilization once again.
