The pinnacle of their arrogance were the Orogenes, who committed a crime even the Earth could not forgive: they destroyed its only son... Is there any way to restore him?

The Obelisk Gate is the second novel in the Broken Earth trilogy by American science fiction and fantasy author N. K. Jemisin. The trilogy is considered one of the best fantasy works of the last decade, as it is one of the few works to have received both critical acclaim and critical acclaim. Each of its three parts won the Hugo Award for Science Fiction and Fantasy, Best Novel category, in 2016, 2017, and 2018.
