This book is a collection of readings in positive psychology, selected to serve the issues of our humanity and our emerging generations, and to unleash their vital energies for the sake of building the future. It forms, along with the book The Oppressed Man and The Wasted Man, an integrated trilogy, representing an effective developmental response to cases of oppression and waste. Positive psychology is an emerging branch of contemporary psychology, experiencing increasing spread and effective applications in many areas of life. Its main thesis is to confront the dominance of traditional psychopathological thesis in psychology, by focusing on the positives and developing aspects of ability and self- and collective effectiveness in life. This is because treating the disease, despite its importance, does not necessarily lead to overcoming it. Rather, what is required is to uncover positive potentials and vital energies and invest them in building a new quality of life. Positive psychology is a call to emerge from states of inactivity and surrender, by working to discover possibilities and opportunities, instead of surrendering to feelings of hopelessness. It is the activation of latent energies, leading to the achievement of human prosperity.
