About the soul

When I received your first letter, my dear friend, I replied at once. Hearing of you after more than thirty years aroused in me a flood of emotions, and my reaction was an immediate cry.

As for your second letter, I kept it for a long time, and today I am only trying to respond to it. Your letter contains a unique request: “Tell me about the soul.” And your sentence: “I discovered late that I have a soul” is a sentence I think I repeated in my head over and over again, but I immediately stifled it inside, fearing that I would appear silly.

With your request I realized it was time to take on the challenge…

I write the word “soul,” pronounce it internally, and breathe in a breath of fresh air. I immediately feel connected to that primal desire from which the universe came into being, and I find, deep within my being, something revealed to me that I had long lost. That intimate sense of true uniqueness and possible oneness.
