A painter named Khaled Ben Tobbal lost his arm during the war. He falls in love with a beautiful girl named Hayat, the daughter of an Algerian freedom fighter who was a friend of Khaled's during the liberation revolution. However, her father was killed during the great liberation war against the French colonialism of Algeria. Hayat falls in love with him without admitting it. With the appearance of his friend named Ziad, a freedom fighter in the Palestinian revolution, the events between them (Khaled and Hayat) intertwine. However, in the end, she confronts the traditions of her society and marries a prominent and influential figure in the Algerian government. This marriage, along with other compelling circumstances that Khaled goes through, will cause his life to completely collapse.
