The Social and Academic Impact of Designed Virtual Reality Scenarios on Autism

This research study explores the social and academic effects of Virtual Reality on learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Due to social isolation, it was previously believed that learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder lacked the ability for social communication and academic interaction. Previously, research studies presented Virtual Reality as a technological tool that influences learners' immersion in a fundamental simulated environment. New findings indicate that by using academic Virtual Reality scenarios, students with Autism Spectrum Disorder become engaged and immersed in the virtual learning environment simultaneously, thanks to the interaction and feedback that occurs when embodying character roles and experiencing their own perspectives. The research delves into studying the immersion of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in general education and their fruitful evaluative achievements in the same academic scenarios previously used in Virtual Reality learning. This book is essential in presenting the different methods used to achieve high educational participation and advanced achievements, overcome challenges, and enter a sensory-safe environment for learning from ready-made and unlimited Virtual Reality experiences. In this new study, the data, research, and analytical methods are qualitative.
