"Transit Bed" is one of those novels whose pages contain small details that have passed or will pass through someone's life. It is a novel that presents the killer pain of disappointments, which was a reason for maturity and wisdom, and a deeper perspective on life, love, experiences, and the fleeting stages of life that are like transit stations where we immerse ourselves to forget our pain, and to search for someone who inhabits the soul and finds refuge in the heart.

What distinguishes this novel most is its deep philosophical readings of the meaning of love, disappointment, customs, traditions, and contradictions, all through the voice of the main character (Omar). He, in turn, takes the reader on an illuminating and revealing journey into the self about what is usually left unsaid, in an attempt to understand oneself and find that inner peace to break free from our complexes and the roots of our problems, or at least to reconcile with them.

The novel cleverly addresses those deep, ingrained wounds within all of us as humans, which in turn can make us oppressors or oppressed, consciously or unconsciously, and most often, the roles between the two are exchanged.

Despite the amount of disappointment and brokenness within it, it is a call for love, forgiveness, and the search for someone who can be our homeland, dwelling, and land.
