Cultural Development in the UAE: From Formation to Empowerment

"Monitoring cultural development in the UAE, more than four decades after its establishment, can only be achieved through a documentary narrative of some important details and characteristics of Emirati life in general, especially at the political and economic levels, and their repercussions on the multi-dimensional cultural issue, where the private and public, and the subjective and objective intersect. Within the context of this description, the author attempts to highlight the key turning points where culture transformed from an individual effort into an institutional state, and to monitor the most significant developments that this state has undergone within a broader and more comprehensive context, namely general development. This includes its various internal relationships, whether within the local context (the local community), or in its relationship with others and externally, especially since the UAE is a country that attracts multiple cultures due to its demographic character imposed by the process of developmental operations. Therefore, the book relies on a descriptive analytical research methodology. The reason for adopting this methodology (in the author's belief) is its ability to represent the scene that has formed since the establishment of the United Arab Emirates on December 2, 1971, up to the present day, and to analyze cultural development in its various paths, approaches, and relationships, which have been integrated into a comprehensive framework of development, and among them"
