The Opening of the Book: The Sura of Human Perfection

The author began the book with Surah Al-Fatiha, stating: "No book – heavenly or earthly – in any nation, ancient or modern, has ever achieved what the Holy Quran achieved at the hands of Muslims and those who participated in Islamic sciences. Preservation and immortality were not merely about its words and phrases remaining written in Qurans and recited by tongues, worshipped in mosques and mihrabs. Rather, preservation and immortality are due to this greatness that has occupied people, filled the world, and was the source of the greatest intellectual and social movement known to humankind." The book addresses a range of topics in several chapters, explaining the virtues of the Holy Quran, why Surah Al-Fatiha, and what its features are. Additionally, one chapter is dedicated to "seeking refuge with Allah," another to "Bismillah" (in the name of Allah), and others to "Praise be to Allah" or "The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful" and other words and verses included in the Surah. The author concludes his work by pointing out that Surah Al-Fatiha is a blessed divine surah that highlights the meanings of Lordship, and that the causes of success are a means, and achieving it is an end whose origins trace back to this noble surah, with its principles through which the servant can be righteous in this world and follow the path to salvation in the hereafter. In the conclusion of his book, he refers to the history of humanity in adhering to truth in word and deed, and to another history of humanity in deviating from knowledge and action. In his opinion, the Surah contains everything detailed in the Holy Quran and indicates truth or error, and thus Al-Fatiha was the introduction to the Book, and the Mother of the Book.
