Yemeni civilization

The Yemeni civilization is a rare gem among the civilizations of the ancient world. It parallels and converges, in its general framework, with those civilizations, but it stands out from them with its uniqueness, which gives it a special place among them. The book argues that this civilization was able to tame its geographical and climatic environment to build an advanced agricultural base, despite its fluctuating seasonal rainfall and the absence of rivers. This led it to ingenious innovations in building great dams, cisterns, and rock basins, then controlling the torrents of silt and rain, creating a fertile agricultural environment that provided most of the food for its people throughout the civilization's time. Then, its land, more than any other place in the world, was granted sources of incense, frankincense, myrrh, perfumes, and spices. Yemen became the center of world trade, and this achievement gave it the opportunity to interact with the civilizations and peoples of the world. This first part of Yemeni civilization describes, analyzes, and discusses it in eight chapters provided with references, tables, and images. Seven of these are devoted to the elements of this civilization (geography, history, politics, law, military, civil, and economic). An introductory chapter introduces Yemen, presents it, provides references to studies related to it, and the scholars who worked on excavating its antiquities and documenting and reading its written inscriptions. The second part will address the remaining elements of this civilization, with a concluding chapter to evaluate and judge it and its achievements.
