Miss: I'll leave, if you come with me!
Jean: Are you crazy, woman? Mademoiselle Julie is running away with her servant! That's what the newspapers will write the day after tomorrow, and the Count will never escape it!
Miss: I can't go! I can't stay! Help me! I'm tired, tired beyond belief - command me! Make me move, I can't think, I can't do anything anymore...!
Jan: Do you see, Miss, what scum you are? Why are you bragging and showing off as if you were gods of creation? Well, I'll give you my orders! Go upstairs, change your clothes, get some travel money, and come back down here!

Johan August Strindberg (1849-1912): playwright, novelist, poet, painter, translator, journalist, and photographer. He is the most famous and important of Sweden's writers, and his influence is comparable to Shakespeare's.
Miss Julie: His most famous play, it is considered the most important theatrical work embodying the ideas of the naturalistic school of thought and art. It has been, and continues to be, presented countless times in most living languages, with different visions and interpretive suggestions, not only in the theater, but also as films, operas, ballets, and television dramas in various parts of the world. It has previously been translated into Arabic, but here it is translated directly from Swedish, in the first edition of its original text, rather than from a third language, and includes Strindberg's famous introduction to the play, which is considered his literary manifesto.
