"But I survived." In a period of loss, my soul wandered. The walls of the world imprisoned me, a pitch-black darkness without any lights. My worries and sorrows crushed me; I no longer sought. They told me, "This is your Qur'an," so I read... But I found no solution. I grew weary, and my discontent increased. I distanced myself from it, so I was imprisoned in the jail of my illusions. Then, one day, the light of the world shone upon me, and a hidden, yet manifest, divine grace came to me. My heart listened to: (A Book We have sent down to you, blessed, that they may ponder over its verses and that those of understanding may remember.) At that time, I was sad, extinguished, and alone; but I survived.
