Sadness, fear, and anxiety have become signs of human misery, to the extent that scholars, thinkers, and doctors have described depression as the disease of the age that has ravaged societies, causing fragmentation and collapse. People flock to sanatoriums and hospitals complaining of psychological fragility! In this book, we shed light on the most prominent psychological pressures that disturb the serenity of human life in this era and disrupt its peace. We embark on an enjoyable journey with the verses of the Holy Quran, through which we discover divine guidance that frees us from these pressures, protects us from their destructive effects, guides us on how to deal with them when they occur, and charts our path towards happiness and peace of mind. The Holy Quran is the source of happiness and the wellspring of tranquility. Whoever lives adhering to its verses, sensing the greatness of their meanings, will not be an easy prey for what are called the psychological diseases of the age, nor will depression find a way to creep into their soul. They will not be enslaved by failed experiences that have incapacitated them from work and giving, nor will they care about future fears that turn their life into hell. I ask Allah – the Most High, the Almighty – to help us reflect on the verses of His Book, guide us to act upon them, accept our good deeds and words, make this book purely for His noble Face, and benefit His servants with it.
