A dreamy romantic work revealing the tender human side of Fyodor Dostoevsky's literature. Its events unfold in the city of Saint Petersburg during short summer nights, where darkness is absent. The narrator, a lonely and highly sensitive young man, lives in self-imposed isolation, content with his inner world and dreams, unable to truly integrate with people.
On one of these nights, the young man meets a girl named Nastenka, who also lives in deep solitude and with a postponed dream of love. A close relationship develops between them, built on sincere confessions and the sharing of dreams and pains. Each finds in the other a temporary refuge from the harshness of reality. The narrator quickly falls in love with Nastenka, but discovers that she is still attached to an absent lover who promised to return.
Feelings of hope and heartbreak escalate when the lover suddenly returns, and Nastenka chooses her old love, leaving the narrator alone once again. The novel ends with a painful reflection on the nature of love and solitude, where the protagonist realizes that one moment of truth can equal a lifetime of happiness, even if it ends in loss. The novel reflects the fragility of human emotions and raises a poignant question about being content with memory when reality cannot provide lasting love.

You may return most new, unopened items within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within two weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (2 to 4 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (1 to 2 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (2 to 4 business days).
