A Rose for Traitors

This short story collection was born in the nascent moment between university and the beginnings of professionalism; it was written on foolscap paper before screens transformed the rituals of writing. Two of its stories attracted early attention when they were published in Al-Masaa, accompanied by praise from a prominent critic who predicted the birth of a distinct literary voice. At the turn of the millennium, the collection appeared under a different title, then was definitively published as "A Rose for Traitors" as part of one of the Authority's series in 2003, before being reprinted approximately a decade later. These texts capture the initial moment of formation, where boldness and innocence coexist, announcing an artistic promise that was later fulfilled.
