On a sweltering summer day, our protagonist, private investigator Kemal Kayankaya, is approached by a Turkish widow seeking his help in investigating her husband's murder. She speaks to him in Turkish, a language he doesn't understand, and he convinces her that, despite his Turkish heritage, he only speaks German. After some effort, he grasps her request and sets out to find the mysterious killer. In a thrilling three-day adventure, he faces numerous unexpected attacks and uncovers many secrets. Armed with his wit and a desire to prove himself, Kayankaya embarks on his quest to find the murderer, only to find himself entangled in a web of extremely dangerous secrets and mysteries. The novel was adapted into a film, the first in the "Detective Kayankaya" series.
