The events of this novel take place in an Egypt different from the one we know today, during a difficult and obscure period from which little has reached us. A conflict unfolds between the priests of Amun and the army of a kingdom descending into chaos after the death of its king. As we follow Thoth in his search for the killer of his king in an exciting suspenseful plot, we learn about his friend Hur Hotep the painter, the priestess Nekhty and the secrets she hides, and the eccentric Ka Serket and his struggle with the gods. These are different people brought together by fate, despite their differing visions, principles, and perspectives on life, within a dramatic social framework, and philosophical insights into life and death, gods and humans, good and evil, and the legends of the ancients.

You may return most new, unopened items within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within two weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (2 to 4 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (1 to 2 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (2 to 4 business days).
