The blood of Hussein

Is it time to talk about Hussein now? Yes, we always need this time. Despite the abundance of what has been written - and read - about Hussein, the Master of Martyrs and the Master of the Youth of Paradise (may God make us among its youth… O Lord), many eyes and pens have neglected to discuss what happened after Hussein's martyrdom… What transpired under the guise of his pure blood? In this book, you will find some of what I want to say… but you will not find everything I wished I could say… and it is up to you to read and take away what you desire… However, I guarantee you two things: you will love our master Hussein more… and secondly, you will witness horrors you cannot bear, bloodshed you have not seen, and events stranger than you can imagine. All of this is true, and its primary sources are Ibn Kathir and Al-Tabari. When I reread this book of mine, I decided to remove much from it and add more… but every time I tried, I would return and see the spilled blood, the panting horses, the gleaming swords, the tongues of fire, the colors of betrayal, the torrents of bodies, the cries of the bereaved, and the masses of severed and slaughtered heads. So, I neither removed nor added… Ibrahim Eissa
