More than three thousand years ago, in one of the villages of Egypt, people passed down stories about an entire city that disappeared from history books, a city that lived through the time of turmoil that the country witnessed during the reign of King Ramses III, when foreign tribes called the Meshwesh invaded the borders of Egypt, spreading ruin and corruption among the villages and countries. The men of the city were slaughtered in a bloody battle, and its women were left alone to face fear, hunger and the unknown. They were not queens or princesses, but ordinary women, some of whom tried to escape by fleeing, some of whom ignited a revolution of the hungry, and some of whom clung to magic in search of a last lifeline.
