The Journey

I am here, standing still and waiting, feeling them approach me from all sides. I see the graves of their minds opening to engulf me into their dark abysses. They try, they converse, they argue, they fight among themselves over who will clasp their hands around my neck and crush it, so that their ignorant dark worshippers may triumph over the one who brought the light of (Aton) to Earth. I am not afraid; I do not fear death, for death to me is but a moment, merely a moment in which I retreat into myself while you destroy yourselves with your own hands after me. Kill me! Strike my heart with the poisoned arrows of your beliefs, tear what remains of me into pieces and scatter them across the different corners of the Earth. Then you will believe you have won, you will believe you have gotten rid of me forever. But you are mistaken! I will return... When you turn your backs, I will return. When you feel safe in your beds, I will return; and you will not be in your armor, you will be weak, and I will live through my bodies to triumph. For I am the one with a thousand faces and one soul, I am the one who was resurrected and will be resurrected in every era, I will return despite everyone's defiance. "And I will be resurrected again!"
