Jalal says about his grandfather, "My grandfather was a living example of the good Jew who took care of a Muslim like me and made life easy for him." This is the essence of the novel (Days of Diaspora), which highlighted the state of religious tolerance based on the integration of the divine religions. This semantic feature was manifested through dialogue, situations, the diversity of place, and the debate of the characters, which gave the novel a continuous vitality and a completeness of thought and creativity. Jalal lived with his Jewish mother and grandfather in Paris, where his grandfather was a symbol of the Egyptian who belongs to, loves his country, and is tolerant of religions. Jalal lived all his life experiences in the shadow of this grandfather. The novel also documented the situations and events that happened to him in the land of diaspora, in addition to the Jews' longing for Egypt. Artistic honesty was achieved through features, behavior, language, and the visual description that almost approaches an artistic painting with its shadows and colors.

You may return most new, unopened items within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
