It is a collection of short stories by Sudanese novelist Hammour Ziada, and the text from which the international film "You Will Die at Twenty" was taken, directed by Sudanese film director Amjad Abu Al-Ala. Everyone knew that Muzamil Al-Nour would die on his twentieth birthday. In a Sudanese village whose inhabitants embrace Sufism, a wise man predicts that the newly born child Muzamil will not live more than twenty years. He is destined to die when he reaches that age. Everyone believes this strange prediction, and the boy is dubbed "the son of death," and his entire life becomes linked to this idea. Muzamil spends his days waiting for the afterlife, with nothing else to do but anticipate death.
