"The Sidaf Era" is a narrative documentation of the region from the mid-1930s to the mid-1950s, a period that witnessed many successive and rapid changes in the region, starting with the decline of the pearl trade and the era of tribal raids, through the World War II era and its significant repercussions, then the economic recovery and the migration of men from the region to neighboring countries for work after the discovery of oil, and finally the introduction of formal education, the rise of nationalism, and the beginnings of openness and liberation from British control.
