The novel, winner of the 2010 Seiji Ilbo Literary Prize and shortlisted for the Translated Crime Fiction Award, revolves around a brilliant "consultant" whose solutions are always simple and effective in what he calls "restructuring." These solutions aren't obvious or chaotic, and certainly not suspiciously murderous. The problem is that the structure doesn't change; only parts of it disappear. This "natural death," which he meticulously orchestrates, involves replacing one drug with another or disrupting a mechanism here or there. People always accept their fate, and how could this be more unethical than, say, marketing cigarettes or drilling for fuel? Then a client he knows well, and even cares about, arrives. For the first time, he questions his role in this vast, shadowy corporation and begins to understand the true nature of his work: that it wouldn't be difficult for his company to plan another murder. Will he be able to escape the corporation? Or will the corporation be able to stop him? We follow the protagonist through his struggle to the very end.

You may return most new, unopened items within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within two weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (2 to 4 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (1 to 2 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (2 to 4 business days).
