"I was not surprised when I read the beautiful writing of Dr. Ghada Labib about her unique journey, as my following of her excellent presentations of much of what she reads confirmed to me that those who read well write well. She is a cultural activist with rare dedication to culture, making sacrifices in this dedication whose value can only be truly appreciated by doctors who abandon medicine for literature and art. With this cultural background, she traversed the worlds of this continent-nation, emerging with an intriguing aesthetic vision in a text about the land of the kangaroo, which she personally encountered and which welcomed her with exceptional warmth, as if it knew how much this visitor to its homeland would reveal much of the unique and unknown about this distant continent-country, which has not ignored its past and has established cultural monuments to purify itself through recognition. I believe the author excelled in eliciting these insights, with precedence, sensitivity, and beauty."
