Muhammad Husayn Haykal (1888–1956) was an Egyptian jurist, historian, politician, and writer. He studied law and earned a doctorate from the Sorbonne. After returning to Egypt, he practiced law and journalism. He was a member of the Committee of Thirty that drafted the 1923 Constitution and also served as Minister of Education and Minister of Social Affairs. He presented Islamic history from a fresh perspective, combining profound analysis with an engaging style. His mastery of law, logic, and philosophy, along with his deep knowledge of both ancient and modern cultures, contributed to this. He authored numerous books and works in the fields of Islamic history, thought, literature, and fiction.
