She had her back to her, watching the horizon, her face turned to the sun. She moved closer to her, closer, on the edge of her body. The smell of incense, the rustle of the dress, oars moved by the slaves, sails flapping, the ship moving quickly towards infinity. The sun’s rays penetrate their being, warming and illuminating their souls, giving them life again. She heard her chant: “You rise… You shine,” and chanted with her. She moved closer to her, closer, nothing separated them. She heard her breathing, felt her being, sensed her presence. She moved closer, extended her hand, almost touched her.
