It covers all social and political conditions and all aspects of life that accompanied them from the time of the Hebrews in the ancient world to the modern era, ending with the State of Israel.

This encyclopedia is a summary of the eight-volume Encyclopedia of Jews, Judaism, and Zionism. Dr. El-Messiri retained the basic material in his concise encyclopedia, but he attempted to make its topics more accessible to the non-specialist reader.
