Attempts to chronicle the literature of resistance among a people usually took place after liberation, for self-evident reasons that need not be delved into in detail. However, with regard to the literature of resistance in occupied Palestine, it is imperative that the Arab reader in general, and the displaced Palestinian in particular, be constantly informed about it, because it essentially addresses them and speaks to them in the same way it addresses the Arabs of the occupied land. It proceeds from motives that are precisely their motives, and it undoubtedly deals with the core of their cause. Feeling such a necessity, it was necessary to undertake the study of Arab resistance literature in Palestine, a literature that remained unknown to us throughout the years of exile, despite the fact that it constitutes the brightest aspect of the struggle of the oppressed people.
