This book is considered one of the most important commentaries on Al-Shama'il, if not the most important, due to its utilization of previous works, its additions, and its completion with benefits rarely found in other books. It meticulously focused on verifying names, words, and manuscripts, while also diligently citing hadiths and mentioning their grading. Furthermore, it paid close attention to instrumental sciences and benefited from the works of early scholars in its refined and well-structured composition. It also included scattered benefits that completed the knowledge of Al-Shama'il, which Al-Tirmidhi did not elaborate on, thus providing us with comprehensive scholarly material that can be referred to and relied upon, making it one of the best commentaries on Al-Shama'il.
