Grammatical and linguistic studies in Al-Zamakhshari

The author’s doctoral dissertation, in which he exerted great effort in preparing, classifying, and organizing it according to a distinguished scientific methodology. The author dealt with the era of Al-Zamakhshari, his upbringing, and his scientific biography, then presented the development in grammatical composition up to the era of Al-Zamakhshari, with evidence, and the position of the grammarians on it.

He also pointed to Al-Zamakhshari’s scholarly standing in the eyes of his contemporaries and those who came after them, while discussing his scholarly works.

The research also addressed Al-Zamakhshari’s position on evidence and proofs of the grammatical industry, and explained his opinion on hearing and analogy, the continuity of the situation and other things. The author did not leave out the subject of Mu’tazilism and its effect on Al-Zamakhshari’s studies, but rather presented it in detail, with an explanation of his grammatical doctrine, and examples of his specialized studies, and thus the study becomes complete in its chapters and topics.
