“The Book of Writing: That is Life... That is Color” is a collection of testimonies that illuminate many aspects related to the concerns and transformations of the literary experience. And to that, there are questions of writing itself and its techniques, poetry and novels, and the stories of many texts, how they were born, and how they developed, until they were completed, and the relationship of visual arts to literature, and the intimate relationship with cinema. It also addresses an aspect of the life experience intersecting with literature, especially during the early formative years and the beginnings of the Palestinian diaspora and its ongoing effects. About the question of writing and the name that is not complete, the writer Ibrahim Nasrallah says: “Like the question of freedom, the question of death and life, and the question of beauty, the question of writing accompanied the human journey, to embrace, therefore, all of these questions, because these questions, and others, have always been its primary obsession that has troubled humans since they began to sense their existence on this earth. The question of writing becomes more difficult when the writer discovers that it is the question that carries the burden of all questions and the question of writing as well. The question of writing is the laboratory of questions, not only as a language, but as a way of life. Each writer will come up with a result different from the other, but the paradox here is that no one will come up with an answer It can be considered complete. As long as there are humans, there will be questions, because the question of freedom, the question of death, the question of life, and the question of beauty are insatiable questions that do not accept any answer, and all that writing does is provide another open answer, with no direct result other than the birth of new questions. Perhaps here lies the misery of the writer or artist, for while science advances after inventing the telegraph, to invent the telephone, the fax, and even the Internet..., writing continues to deal with impossibilities that cannot be achieved, and for which it cannot find final answers. Writing is the profession of finding new, deeper questions...”. The book was introduced by critic Dr. Muhammad Abdul Qader with an introduction entitled “From a Cave in a Mountain... to the Summit of Kilimanjaro: Features of a Personal - Creative Biography of Ibrahim Nasrallah”, in which he said: “... anyone who writes something from the creative biography of a writer like Ibrahim Nasrallah is at a loss to determine whether his task is easy or difficult, for it is easy by virtue of the breadth of the field of creativity that he produced Ibrahim. It is difficult at the same time, and perhaps for the same reason, since whoever takes on such a task must be selective and enslaved. This is clearly unfair. Whatever the situation, this is an attempt to enter the diverse world of a creator who has produced to date more than forty books, including poetry, novels, and studies, not to mention dozens of paintings, drawings, and photography, in addition to dozens of press interviews and creative self-testimonies. The first thing that catches the eye of anyone reading this creative journey of Nasrallah is the multiplicity of talents and interests, in addition to the clear boldness in linking different artistic worlds that many are afraid of. As for the characteristic that represents Ibrahim's best feature - as I believe - it is that Ibrahim, throughout his artistic experience, was the owner of a creative project. This project was not generated by a timetable with specific themes, but was rather an expression of the strength of vision and foresight, and the strength of will to manage the creative self and interact creatively with the self, the environment, and the world...
