"Wild Waves" is a novelistic narrative aged with the wine of poetry, based on the dialectic of homeland and writing. The writing here is almost a kind of prediction of an uprising in its infancy; and with a modern literary language that throws us far away to a confused land, trying to capture the visible from the scattered images of the "Palestinian homeland" and return it to the sky of memory. The homeland in which all the impossibilities created by life with all its complexities and struggle with a merciless enemy merge. Thus, it is a novel about the endless absurdity of place and people, and an effort to extract something of joy; With a pen that has a pure, steadfast, and living identity, it was a witness to its era and still is. The work was headed in its sixth edition by the author of the novel, Ibrahim Nasrallah, “As an introduction... about an ending of a different kind,” in which he spoke about the occupied homeland and his upbringing in it, the circumstances surrounding the writing of “Wild Waves,” and the critics’ opinion of the novel, including what was stated in it: “… The critics who dealt with (Wild Waves) were divided. Some of them dealt with it as a new artistic form in Arabic writing. Some of them dealt with it as a literary scenario, while most of the critics dealt with it as a different novel. But in the end, and far from any classifications, it is the book in which I learned and lived the freedom of writing. I hope that this feeling will be transferred to the reader, male and female, so that they may live in it the freedom of reading with all its liberated meaning!” They said about the novel: “A cinematic novel that establishes a new writing style and an aesthetic expression whose pillars are based on visual vision.
