The events of the novel span over 15 years, where safety vanished and war ensued, then war departed and safety returned. The story revolves around an orphaned girl named Raghad, who moved to live in her uncle's house at the age of three. There, her cousin, Walid, accompanies and cares for her. They become attached to each other from the moment words stumbled in her mouth, mixing up the letters of his name and saying, "You are mine," instead of "You are Walid." Little did she know that with that phrase, she truly possessed him. This love blossomed between a boy and a girl and remained within them despite the distance. When the girl became a woman and the boy a man, circumstances became harsher for them. Walid was imprisoned for many years, and upon his return, he found his cousin Raghad engaged to his brother, Samer. At every juncture of Raghad and Walid's lives, they separated, only to return to each other, and then separate again. However, in the final station, they met forever.
