Explanation of the Great Hamawi Fatwa

The Great Hamawiyya Fatwa by Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (may God have mercy on him): A great treatise establishing the Salaf's doctrine regarding the attributes of God (may He be glorified and exalted). It was written in the year 698 AH in response to a question posed to him from Hama: “What do the esteemed jurists and imams of the religion say about the verses describing God's attributes, such as His saying, 'The Most Merciful is established on the Throne,' and His saying, 'Then He established Himself on the Throne,' and His saying, 'Then He turned to the heaven while it was smoke,' and other similar verses, and the hadiths describing God's attributes, such as the Prophet's saying (peace and blessings be upon him), 'The hearts of the children of Adam are between two of the fingers of the Most Merciful,' and his saying (peace and blessings be upon him), 'The Almighty will place His foot in Hellfire,' and other similar verses? What have the scholars said about this? Please elaborate on this matter, and may God reward you.” Shaykh Salih al-Fawzan has explained it.
