I didn't choose life, and that's not enough for death to be chosen for me. We are all equal on earth. What does it mean to be separated by positions, colors, and seats? What does it mean to be black and for you to be white? To buy a mansion while I buy a grave! To think of the future with your family while I chase the past alone! To search for a definition of famine while I am fleeing it! What does it mean to be content with denial while I need to be grateful? To laugh and prolong your voice while I cry and gag my wounds! To stretch out on silk while I stand with bloody feet! To sigh from the freedom of satiety while I groan from the prison of hunger! What does it mean to be divided, to sow hatred, to tear apart the homeland, to separate the north, and to exclude the south? To be Eastern in your convictions while I am Western in my principles! To trust in your perfection and lack much while I see your perfection as a great deficiency! What does it mean that our fight with words in councils and streets is more intense and harsher than our fight with weapons! What does it mean to have all this right to the body of life, while you refuse to give me anything from it except the stench of death? What does all this mean except that you were not born racist, but grew up and chose to be one.
