She took them from the war zones, guarded them and hid them in the homes of her friends in Poland. Not only that, but she also kept the names and addresses of these children and reunited them with their families after the war.
About the author: Teilhard J. Mazzeo is an American writer, historian, and former professor of English literature at Colby College. Her books have been a New York Times bestseller.
