The book, in its two parts, includes Al-Wahidi's commentary on the Diwan of Abu Tayeb Al-Mutanabbi. In its introduction, he addressed the famous trends that formed around the poet in his biography, description, and poetic style. The most important thing in Al-Wahidi's treatment is that he presents the positions of the aforementioned critics, his rejection of the extremists among them, and his insistence on the concept of truthfulness. He examines Al-Mutanabbi's poetry and places it in the scales of criticism to conclude by determining the value of this modern poetic style in his era. The researcher collected what was written by the translators who investigated his news, followed his biography, and recorded the news, curiosities, and anecdotes surrounding him, within five chapters: his birth, lineage, and upbringing, his death, his characteristics and poetic style, what was said about his title (Al-Mutanabbi), and his news with the princes of his time.
