Difficulties facing entrepreneurship

Author's name: Ahoud Al -Wadaei

Despite the emergence of a number of associations interested in entrepreneurship in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the concept is still in its infancy. For example, it has not been included in educational curricula at the intermediate, secondary, or university levels. Education and training are considered important factors in expanding the concept of entrepreneurship and highlighting its importance in community development and the evolution of the community economy. The question is: Is entrepreneurship an industry, an acquired trait, or a personal characteristic of entrepreneurs? Much debate has revolved around the nature of entrepreneurs: Who are they? What do they do? The term is new to the Arabic language and has only recently been introduced. An entrepreneur can be defined by extracting from the aforementioned definitions in the first axis that an entrepreneur is a person with the initiative who notices an unmet need or desire in the market among consumers. He takes the risk and initiative and organizes all available financial, material, and human resources to satisfy this need, through a commercial project whose goal is profit or, in some cases, a non-profit social and economic goal.
