AuthorJohann Wolfgang von Goethe
Faust is the protagonist in the German folk tale of the German magician, Dr. Johann Georg Faust, who makes a pact with the devil. This story has become the basis for various literary works by different authors worldwide, perhaps the most famous of which are Goethe's Faust, and works by Christopher Marlowe, Klaus Mann, Thomas Mann, Clive Barker, Oscar Wilde, and Mikhail Bulgakov. Johann Goethe's Faust, the new edition of which is published by Al-Mada Publishing House, is considered by most literary critics to be the most prominent and complete work inspired by the story of Faust, the German magician in the folk tale. This work is perhaps one of the most important reasons for the fame and spread of this work, so much so that it is considered by some to be the most prominent work in German literature, as it blends literature with philosophy.
