Every Thursday, at 7 PM, ten people gather for a creative writing course in a quiet Norwegian town. The course is led by a writer whose literary career has faltered, while the participants come from diverse backgrounds, each carrying a story they don't want to tell, or perhaps don't know how to tell. But something strange happens when they start writing.

Through the stories they write, their hidden lives are revealed, and the most important story remains the one they create together; a story about love, friendship, betrayal, and death.
