The book "Greek Art" by researcher Dr. Khazal Al-Majidi. Al-Majidi likens this art to "a tree whose roots are immersed in the sea of Aegean arts, its trunk grows in the early stages of early Greek arts (geometric, Orientalizing, and archaic), and its branches and ripe fruits appear in classicism, to descend into the lines of realism with the Hellenistic and late periods." The book consists of an introduction, eight chapters, and indices. Each chapter discusses the arts of its period in the four art sectors to provide a comprehensive picture of all these arts. The treasures of Greek art history are presented accurately and clearly, accompanied by images. The new aspect that the book will reveal is the three-time intervention of Eastern Mediterranean art in the emergence and invigoration of Greek art: the first with the beginnings of Aegean arts in the third and second millennia BC, the second in Orientalizing art in the eighth and seventh centuries BC, and the third in Hellenistic art in the three centuries BC. This fact, which many overlook, gives a truly new flavor to the history of Greek art and grants it the life of communication with its ancient Mediterranean surroundings. The first chapter discusses a brief history of the Greeks, while the second chapter discusses prehistoric and Bronze Age arts. The third chapter presents Geometric Greek art (Dark Ages) (1200-750 BC), while the fourth chapter discusses Orientalizing Greek art (750-660 BC). The fifth chapter presents Archaic Greek art (660-480 BC), while the sixth chapter deals with Classical Greek art (480-330 BC). The seventh chapter discusses Hellenistic art (323-30 BC), while the eighth chapter presents Late Greek art (Greco-Roman) (30 BC - 330 AD). Al-Majidi states in a press interview that his five years of teaching the "History of Art" course at the College of Arts at Derna University in Libya had "a great impact on sensing Greek and other arts and delving into their history. Greek art received special attention due to my presence in one of its best fields in eastern Libya, which still retains distinctive examples of Greek arts there."
